AcF is conducting re-evaluation activity to assess the needs for incoming 
generation programme in Ambon and North Buru. 

Food Security and Agriculture 
WFP continues its food assistance programme targeting to IDPs and vulnerable 
people, such as female-headed household, elderly, and chronically ill or 
disabled people. Activities involved include free food distribution, food for 
work, and food for traumatised women who receive counselling at Ambon Trauma 
Centre. These programmes are to support WFP gender policy and commitments to 
women. Up to Wednesday (28 May), 8,623 persons have benefited from the 
programmes and a total of 301.950 MT rice has been delivered. 

Mercy Corps provided funds to an LNGO, Yayasan Serambi Maluku, for distribution 
of seeds, tools, and fishing equipment in Marloso and Jamu villages of North 
Buru district, benefitting 162 families (504 people). A similar support was 
provided to an LNGO, Yayasan Sauwa Sejahtera, for distribution in Allang 
village of Ambon Island, benefiting 383 families (1,936 people). 

Health 
IMC this week conducted a total of 1,667 health consultations in Seram island 
of Central Maluku district (covering Masohi municipality, Masohi policlinic, 
Taniwel, Kobisonta, Werinama, Waesala, and Tehoru) and in Buru island of Buru 
district (covering Leksula and Waemulang).
