Dear Kabar Irian,

Please post the following short response to the Rev. Socratez Sofyan
Yeoman's statemnt that "the ICG has not visited Papua, let alone
interviewed the indigenous people and the local NGOs" :

In fact, ICG has visited Papua four times in the last fourteen months
and conducted dozens of interviews with Papuan NGOs, religious leaders,
adat leaders and local government officers, in four different
kabupatens.
